WORKSHOP - My Street View (Street Photography with Adrian Whear)

  • Coldstream Community Centre 12 Kelso Street Coldstream, Vic Australia (map)

What is street photography? Maybe you have considered trying street photography but are a bit nervous about it all. No doubt, photographing in public spaces can be a bit intimidating at first. Join Adrian Whear, a documentary and street photographer from Melbourne, who will share his philosophies and approaches to street photography when walking the streets of Melbourne and further afield. Adrian's tips are designed to help sharpen your visualisation and storytelling skills when embarking on the world of street photography.

Adrian Whear is an amateur street and documentary photographer. Adrian just loves walking the streets and alleys of his hometown Melbourne and its inner suburbs, and in the process, he started to discover his home city's true soul. From there Adrian just photographed whatever captured his attention, slowly forming an understanding, vision and style for his photography

As a street photographer, Adrian's ultimate aim is to capture an ordinary everyday scene but to show it in an extraordinary way

Adrian has attained the honour of APSEM from the Australian Photographic Society, been awarded both FIAP and PSA gold medals, and been a finalist in street photography competitions in Gothenburg & Australia. Adrian's work has been exhibited in Australia, Sweden, Slovenia, Vietnam, Croatia, United Kingdom & Bangladesh. In 2022 Adrian self-published his first book titled 'Detour'
